Salam Kisan Showcases AI-Powered Arjuna Drone at Mini Saras Exhibition in Chandrapur

Chandrapur, Maharashtra: Salam Kisan, an agri-tech startup contributing to strengthening the drone ecosystem and dedicated to democratizing data-driven agriculture, actively participated in the Mini Saras Exhibition held at Chanda Club Ground, Chandrapur, from 1st to 5th February. The event, organized by UMMED, MSRLM (Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission), Government of Maharashtra, provided a platform for Salam Kisan to showcase its AI-powered Arjuna drone and highlight the benefits of agricultural drone spraying.

During the exhibition, Salam Kisan demonstrated how its advanced drone technology helps farmers reduce input costs while increasing yield efficiency. The team also emphasized government initiatives supporting drone technology, such as Drone Didi, aimed at empowering rural women through technological advancements.

As part of its commitment to supporting rural entrepreneurs, Salam Kisan assisted Self-Help Groups (SHGs) through its unique ‘Local for Global’ initiative. Under this program, Salam Kisan procures handmade products from SHGs and distributes them to lucky draw winners each day, fostering local entrepreneurship and boosting income for rural women.

On the concluding day of the exhibition, the Honorable CEO of Jilha Parishad, Mr. Vivek Johnson, IAS conducted the final lucky draw, joined by Girish Dhaygule, Project Director, MSRLM. The impactful work of Salam Kisan in empowering SHGs, farmers, and women entrepreneurs was also witnessed by esteemed dignitaries, including Assistant Commissioner Dr. Kashmira Sankhe, Vijay Kumar Falle, Regional Manager, MAIDC, and progressive farmer Mr. Yadav.

Speaking at the event, Akshay Khobragade, Chief Operating Officer of Salam Kisan, expressed his gratitude and reiterated Salam Kisan’s commitment to empowering rural entrepreneurs. “Salam Kisan is dedicated to empowering farmers by democratizing data-driven agriculture, reducing costs, and improving yields. Additionally, through platforms like the Mini Saras Exhibition, we aim to promote rural entrepreneurs, especially SHGs and women-led enterprises. We are honored to participate in such initiatives that enable us to interact with thousands of women entrepreneurs, help them scale their businesses, and showcase our technology to farmers,” said Akshay Khobragade.

The participation of Salam Kisan in this event was successfully led by Mr. Sumit Mungale, Media and Marketing Manager, along with Mr. Amol Kohare, Drone Pilot, who played a crucial role in engaging with farmers and stakeholders. Their dedication ensured that thousands of visitors at the event could witness first-hand the transformative impact of drone technology in modern agriculture.
